Crayola Light Designer

Crayola Light Designer
My 7 year old daughter wants to ask Santa for Crayola Light Designer for Christmas, and Santa at our house is an early Christmas shopper, so I picked it up today so I could test it out and make sure she wouldn't be dissapointed on Christmas morning. I had read other reviews that said it is very loud. When I first turned it on I didn't think it was that loud (sounds like a fan running) but after playing with it for 20 minutes to test it out and then turning it off I had a constant buzzing in my ear for about 15 minutes.

Crayola Light Designer reminded me of the 80's light bright that you used to put pins in and make designs but a digital version. You put the designer pin to the 360 surface and can create designs, play preprogrammed games, and make simple animations. Look at the picture on the box and you get a good example of how detailed you can get. You can save up to 50 images on the designer itself so gone are the days of creating a light bright picture and snapping a polaroid of it to prove you made something awesome.

If you have a child to buy for who loves art and gadgets, then Crayola Light Designer should satisfy as it combines both. If the child just loves art, this will probably do as well, because they'll still love the ability to create artwork and then set it into motion and project it, not to mention save up to fifty of their 'projects'.
